About Qumbet Cultural Cooperative Association

About Qumbet Cultural Cooperative Association In Sudan

Qumbet Cultural Cooperative Association has its roots in the city of Kas in the state of Darfur, Sudan, where it was originally founded. Later, the association witnessed reconsideration, activities, and revitalization in Kampala, Uganda, due to the displacement of a large number of Sudanese individuals. Uganda was chosen as the focal point for the association’s activities due to the significant concentration of displaced persons and refugees in the region. Most of these individuals are activists in the field of organizations and civil society, making it a crucial hub for our work. In response to the critical needs of displaced Sudanese and refugees, Qumbet emerged as a lifeline, a beacon of hope for those who have endured the hardships of displacement. The association’s inception was prompted by the urgent requirement for intervention and support as new challenges emerged, impacting the lives of numerous Sudanese individuals.
